I originally studied painting, but started making sculptures in 1995, when I discovered the combination of strength and malleability of metal when heated. You can manipulate it like plasticine if you get it hot enough, and drawings quickly become forms.
Since graduating from Chelsea School of Art in 1983 I have completed numerous public commissions and exhibited all over the country.
